Steve glad your feeling ok again, struggling to wire up the motorcycle rpm up with all the parts you recommended I can't get on Google plus as it says it's no longer available. We start the channel with one simple test tool, the MUSTOOL MT812 Voltage Tester, where can be found on Banggood, check out the link below.

Welcome back, and get better! Nothing like a few chips to cheer you up 😉 :)Īnd do they make 4 1/2 " stones for angle grinders? Now get back to the junkyard to find a little x-y table to put under the vise. Steve, welcome back and best wishes for continued recovery and good health That was actually a good hack, and I like the chicken too Hope you are feeling better now.it's been a year since this video was posted I suppose an extension to that idea would be a cheap spin indexer to allow the tool to be rotated while grinding. Hmmmm.I've got one of those stands, it's called a Desoutter stand, but the actual part that holds the drill is missing so I think as it's such a good idea I'll make a fitting to mount the angle grinder by the side handle in the chuck on my drill press, that will give me the up and down move.just have to make an arm to go against the drill column to prevent the grinder from rotating in the spindle.

Thanks! I can’t seem to find these types of drill presses in the US. I might have to head out to banning for a 2nd look. I was looking at these and didn't' know much about them. There's a clear mid-range gap in the market there's the junky Scheppach one, then this with its well publicised chuck/bearing accuracy issues, and then a HUGE gap to high end machines from Flott and Nova, so I guess that none of the manufacturers, including Bosch believe that there are enough potential customers to warrant development of a machine that would fit in the price point of the gap (around 500-800 euro).

It's interesting that Bosch didn't make a pro version of this. I got one of these to attach to the wheel. Definitely a contender!Įnjoyed the video, but what’s with your eyes mate, the camera is in front but your eyes all over the place, LOL.guilty of something perhaps 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I should really stop looking ahead so far as the Drill Press is many projects down the list but as I am eyeing off this style I had to come check it out. You can adjust the laser - bit of a faff but there are grub screws inside the outer shell you can use. It has a lot of run-out in the chuck, the digital depth gauge no longer works, when drilling concentric holes if you need to raise the drill head for a larger drill bit the alignment is lost. I've had a Bosch PBD40 for a number of years now. All in all, convenient, plenty accurate enough for woodworking - ideal for the DIY/hobby worker. It's compact, light enough to move about should I need to and the great thing is the speed control. It was the price which put me off but eventually the cheapest I've found was in Spain - I bought one online via Amazon.es and it arrived today. In addition, it took up lots of space so I've been eyeing this Bosch machine for a while. It was OK for woodworking but the speed never ever got changed because it meant I had to get a chair out to climb up on my work bench. should i rather ignore that it has a laser, or can that be adjusted?Ī couple of years ago I bought a 700w Titan bench mounted drill press. One thing that struck me as odd is that the laser seemed to be quite a few millimeters off in your demonstration. I'm fed up of shuffling the belt around and the wobbly spindle and everything. I'm considering getting one of these as well, to replace the cast iron monster similar to your old one. Your explanation was very helpful.Thank you.Ĭan drill depth of 2.6 mm be set accurately, repetitive and without center offset of spindle Just bought this - There is nothing that even comes close, with regard to customer reviews (across many sites/countries) and at this price point.īosch did do a two-day flash deal of £188.30 on 13-14th Oct'20 Also saw this link which I think I am going to do in my shed because I don't have a great deal of room. Got this drill today based on this review and a few others. height is of an object you want to drill? So the max space between the drill bit and the base plate? Cheers Question, does anyone here know what the max.
